The renaissance, a movement during 1300s to the 1600s that expressed creativity in art, writing, and thought, was an interesting part of history. During the 1300s Europe see two dramatic issues that led up to the renaissance; contend and the black plague. This event caused more people to their thoughts. plenty in Italy decided it would be nice to express new ideas and test different styles. As new ideas were being brought up, people in particular focused on human potential and achievements, also know as humanism. Leonardo was known as a Renaissance Man, a man that is excelled in many ways. He was a fantastic painter, but not exclusively was he and artist he was a scientist, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, sculptor, architect, botanist, musician, and a writer. He was very interested in how things worked. He gathered many observations and sketches in a notebook. A mystery is why he wrote all his observations and notes from right to left.
