In State v. Koso, Matthew Koso was in a twenty year old man in a race with a twelve year old girl, Crystal Guyer. When Crystals capture learned of their sexual relationship she immediately got a restraining post out on Koso. Both Koso and Crystal ignored the restraining prescribe and continued the relationship cautiously, and in 2005 she became pregnant. Once they confronted their parents about the pregnancy, they told them how they cherished to get espouse; the parents jibd. In Nebraska in rule to get married you had to be at least cardinal years old. In Kansas however you could get married at age fourteen if you had parental consent. The Mothers of both Koso and Guyer consented and all of them went to Kansas so Koso and Crystal could get legally married.
Two months later lawyer General Bruning filed statutory rape charges against Koso and by the end of August, honest three days after the birth of his daughter Koso stood in front of a judge for arraignment. In December 2005 Koso was convicted of statutory rape and sentenced to 18 to 30 months in prison; grant Nebraska can sentence someone up to 50 years in prison for statutory rape.

I am not disagreeing that Koso broke the law, but he married Crystal and had parental consent.
